Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
In short: you own your specs, your generated code and your agents. You're responsible for the APIs you connect and the credentials you give us. The Service is in early access, so it's provided as-is and may change. Please use it responsibly.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of altship, including the website altship.io, the dashboard at pilot.altship.io, MCP Creator, Agent Creator, and any MCP servers or agents we host for you (together, the "Service"). altship is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom ("altship", "we", "us"). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. Early access
The Service is in early access. Features may change, be limited or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable. We'll try to give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect how you use it.
3. Your account
You sign in with a GitHub or Google account. You must be at least 18, give accurate information, and keep access to your sign-in account secure. You're responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at hello@altship.io if you think it has been compromised.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you provide, including OpenAPI specifications, configuration, agent descriptions and messages ("Your Content"). You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to provide Your Content and to have the Service act on it, and that doing so doesn't breach any law or anyone else's rights.
5. Generated code
The MCP server source code the Service generates for you is yours to use, modify and deploy however you like, including on your own infrastructure. It doesn't depend on any proprietary altship runtime. You're responsible for reviewing and testing generated code before relying on it in production.
6. Connected APIs and credentials
When you deploy an MCP server or run an agent, the Service calls the APIs you've connected, on your instructions and using the credentials you provide. You're responsible for:
- having permission to connect each API and to use its credentials this way;
- complying with the terms, rate limits and policies of those APIs;
- choosing which operations to expose. The Service flags operations that look destructive or sensitive, but whether to expose them, and what they do to your systems and data, is your decision.
We store credentials encrypted and never write them into generated code, but you should use credentials scoped to only what your server needs, and rotate them if you suspect they've been exposed.
7. Agents and AI output
Agent Creator uses AI models to plan and run agents. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. Review what your agents do, especially before approving actions that change data, and don't rely on agent output as professional advice. You're responsible for how you and your users use your agents and their output.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- access systems, APIs or data you aren't authorised to access, or use the Service to attack, scan or overload third-party systems;
- distribute malware, or create agents or servers designed to deceive, harass or harm people;
- send spam or carry out fraud;
- try to breach the Service's security, access other users' data, or get around usage limits;
- resell or provide the Service to others as a standalone product without our written permission.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including GitHub and Google for sign-in, and Supabase, Vercel and Anthropic to run the Service. Their own terms may also apply. We aren't responsible for third-party services, including the APIs you connect.
10. Fees
The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@altship.io. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to export Your Content first. When your account ends, the managed servers and agents we host for you stop running, and we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, whether express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that generated code or AI output will be accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Subject to that, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, and our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in that period.
If you use the Service as a consumer, you also have legal rights that these terms don't affect.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service develops. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, the updated terms apply.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
